We offer an opportunity to join a boutique Accounting Firm with the ability to create your own professional destiny. A Tax Accountant performs complex tax preparation, tax research and tax planning and provides technical guidance when needed. As a member of the team, you will work closely with firm partners, staff and clients in all practice areas of the firm including compilations, tax returns and more.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of complex returns including, but not limited to 1040, 1065, 1120S and 1120. Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax returns is not required.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements
- Deliver innovative tax planning, strategy and client service
- Work in a variety of industries, experience within Real Estate a plus
- Advance your expertise in tax matters through continued education and research
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or related field
- 5 years of experience in public accounting
- Has passed or is in the process of taking the CPA exam
- Capacity to manage multiple projects
- Advanced technical knowledge of tax concepts
- Experience with Individual tax returns to high-net-worth clients
- Demonstrates ability to solve problems and complete projects
- Knowledge of CCH Prosystem Fx
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office products with an emphasis in Excel
