What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance Manager and Assistant Manager position at Levin Associates?
We are looking for a Maintenance Manager / Maintenance Man to service our residential and commercial properties. Duties include painting, light plumbing, light electrical, and light HVAC repairs. The ideal candidate is familiar with and has general tools, a dependable vehicle and is resourceful by using computer searches to find replacement parts or source contractors to provide estimates for the completion of the work. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities
- Make walk throughs on buildings and determine what repairs are needed. Make what you are capable to do and source contractors if you are not able to make the repairs
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.) Source contractors if necessary
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
Skills
- Basic understanding of building systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength.
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
