What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fellowship position at LEVICK?

A LEVICK Fellow plays a key role in contributing to their team’s efforts. They are expected to actively participate in group discussions and the digital engagement efforts of clients in all of the firm’s practice groups. They demonstrate interest in communications and an understanding of basic media relations tactics. The ideal candidate will have experience pitching reporters, conducting media and internet research, implementing social media tactics, graphic design skills and tracking and analyzing web and social analytics as part of a larger digital and traditional campaign strategy. They should have excellent written and oral communications skills, keen attention to detail, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. In addition, as a crisis firm, Fellows will be expected to adhere to tight deadlines.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Have a demonstrated interest in communications and digital media
  • A. in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Policy Science or Other Liberal Arts Degree preferred

 

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

  • Must be a self-starter who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is the daily norm
  • Must be able to transition easily from working as a team player to working independently
  • Must be someone who strives for excellence, with a desire to grow and learn from the experience

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pitch reporters, compile media lists and develop reporter profiles for clients
  • Conduct research and data visualization reports for prospective clients
  • Assist in content and/or graphic design for proposals, internal documents, website and social media
  • Compile daily traditional and digital media reports to monitor clients’ influence online
  • Participate in creative brainstorms
  • Proof proposals, client documents, and content for LEVICK’s weekly newsletter, Today
  • Assist in managing clients' social media platforms
  • Provide administrative support to your team
