OVERVIEW:

  • ROLE TITLE: Help Desk II
  • MAXIMUM RATE: Around $25/hour, depending on experience and match to the role. This rate assumes a corporate-to-corporate or 1099 structure. A W2 structure is possible, but the rate would need to come down to cover employer costs (ask for a quote).
  • PAYMENT TERMS: Payments are cut bi-weekly with "Paid when Paid" terms (meaning we'll pay the same day we receive payment from the end-client).
  • START / END: 08/18/25 to 06/30/2026, with a reasonable possibility of a multi-year extension. The state cannot post any job beyond the end of the current fiscal year (June 30, 2026, in this case). So, while many jobs at the state can run for multiple years, they are all capped at the start of the current fiscal year (and must be renewed each fiscal year).
  • WORK ARRANGEMENT:
    • 80% Remote from within Wisconsin. Onsite 1 day/week; online and available during standard business hours (7:45 AM–4:30 PM CT).
    • The candidate must be (1) a current resident of Wisconsin (no relocations) and (2) have a history of work in Wisconsin.

KEY SKILLS:

  • At least 1 year of experience with digital tools, systems, or platforms with quick adaptability to new tech.
  • At least 6 months in customer service or client-facing role with successful issue resolution.
  • At least 6 months of team-based work with collaborative contributions.
  • Experience providing IT support in a professional setting.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience providing identity management administration.

NICE TO HAVE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working with a web-based ACD system (telephony).
  • Experience verifying confidential account credentials.
  • Experience working with conference room technology.
