The Role
As a Retirement Income Advisor at Leverage, you'll lead thoughtful planning conversations with people who have worked their whole lives and are ready to retire or already there. You won't be hunting for leads. Leverage's platform delivers a consistent pipeline of qualified, retirement-focused prospects. Your job is to listen well, educate clearly, and recommend the right solution when it fits.
You'll work across the full retirement income toolkit with internal support, operations, and onboarding teams behind you so you can stay focused on what matters: delivering a great client experience.
What You'll Do
- Lead retirement income planning conversations with pre-retirees and retirees across the country
- Evaluate each client's situation and recommend appropriate strategies, including guaranteed income solutions when they fit
- Present and explain annuity solutions including Fixed Indexed Annuities in plain, confident language
- Run illustrations and income scenarios using products from our top-rated carrier partners
- Guide clients from first conversation through application and onboarding
- Engage via phone, email, text, and virtual meetings - wherever clients are
- Keep clean records, activity logs, and follow-ups in Salesforce
- Collaborate with the team to keep improving the process and client experience
What You Bring
Required
- Active Series 65 license
- Active Life & Health insurance license
- Strong consultative approach - you lead with questions, not products
- Experience working with retirement-age clients on income planning
- Ability to explain complex financial concepts in plain language
- Comfort in a technology-enabled environment with CRM and digital communication tools
- Highly organized with strong follow-up habits
Preferred
- 3 years in retirement planning, financial advising, or annuity sales
- Experience recommending Fixed Indexed Annuities
- Familiarity with annuity illustration platforms and major carriers
- Experience with inbound or marketing-generated leads
Compensation & Benefits
Leverage offers a W-2 structure with a competitive base salary and a model that rewards advisors who show up consistently and close thoughtfully.
- Base Salary: $65,000
- Target First-Year Total Compensation: $150,000 for successful advisors
