What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Construction Estimator position at Leverage General?
Leverage General is a small, trusted commercial general contractor that has been building in the Treasure Valley for four years. We're looking for an estimator to work directly with the owner, run bids from drawings to bid day, and see the results on every job we win.
We build specialty systems, manufacturing upgrades, and tenant improvements, often engineer-driven work with multiple trades. We're also growing our civil, earthwork, and underground utility work, so civil estimating experience is a big plus.
How to apply: Two required steps
- Complete the application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSenN8XfGRpfN51xmJ8rkZ2cKpa37JxoXvcp9e1nS7oJwHtvhg/viewform?usp=publish-editor
- Email resume with the subject "Estimator – Your Name" to email listed in the application
The role
Reporting to the owner, you'll take bids from drawings to bid day. You'll do takeoffs, level sub quotes, run preconstruction with owners and designers, manage buyout, and feed actual job costs back into future bids. We use AI to cut admin work. You check every output and put your stamp on every number.
How you win here: typically 5–7 complete, on-time bids a month depending on size and type, at margins that hold up when the job is built.
Growth path: as we grow, this seat leads to Chief Estimator or Preconstruction Manager.
Experience: 5 years of construction estimating, ideally with a commercial GC. Civil estimating is a strong plus.
