Leveling the Fields is a programs-focused nonprofit dedicated to increasing the number of girls in sports, recognizing the strong correlation between sports participation and future leadership roles. We are committed to breaking down barriers and providing universal access to sports, regardless of financial constraints, geographical limitations, or lack of options. Through our EmpowerPlay and PlayFit programs, we aim to get more girls into sports, keep them engaged, and equip them with the tools needed to thrive as future leaders.
EmpowerPlay
The EmpowerPlay Program is a dynamic multi-sport after-school program aimed at empowering girls through athletics and is designed specifically for girls in 3rd through 5th grade. The program is run onsite at the elementary school. Over the nine weeks, participants learn the fundamentals of each sport while building teamwork and confidence. Our program is designed to foster self-acceptance, positive body image, and good sportsmanship through our unique empowerment journal. For girls in low-income areas, the program is offered at no cost to families.
PlayFit
The PlayFit Enrichment Program is a weekly add-on designed to complement existing after-school programs, offering a fun and engaging way for 3rd-5th grade girls to stay active and build confidence. The program focuses on a single sport, allowing participants to deepen their skills, and is available in a 6-week or 8-week format. With on-site coaching and equipment provided, PlayFit makes it easy for girls to explore sports and develop teamwork and leadership skills. Designed to be accessible for all, this program brings empowerment and physical activity directly to your after-school care.

Key Responsibilities
- Photograph after-school programs, special events, and key moments in action
- Take professional headshots of volunteers, team members, and participants as needed
- Edit and enhance photos (both your own and others provided) for consistency and quality
- Organize and upload images to shared drives in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure visuals align with brand and campaign needs
- Experience in photography (professional or strong hobbyist)
- Proficiency in photo editing tools (Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.)
- Ability to capture candid, engaging moments—especially with kids and live action
- Reliable, responsive, and able to meet quick turnaround needs
