POSITION SUMMARY
The Custom Seal Material Handler is responsible for coordinating materials, secondary operations, inventory adjustments, and completed orders to support on-time delivery, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
This position requires general knowledge of materials, products, and packaging requirements. The Material Handler must be able to read calipers and use other measuring equipment, maintain accurate raw-material inventory records, and follow established safety and quality procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Create manufacturing orders using the M3 system.
● Stage materials according to priorities on the daily production schedule.
● Perform secondary assembly operations, including:
● Deburring
● O-ring assembly
● Splitting and other finishing operations
● Adjust material usage and inventory information in the Infor system.
● Perform quality inspections of finished parts.
● Close completed work orders and print labels for each component.
● Kit components for finished orders when applicable.
● Perform weekly cycle counts and document inventory discrepancies.
● Cut incoming billets to 6-inch lengths as needed.
● Maintain an organized and clean work area following 5S principles.
● Follow all company safety procedures and systems.
● Follow established quality procedures and required documentation.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
● Previous material handling, manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience preferred.
● Ability to read and use calipers and other measuring devices.
● Ability to perform basic quality inspections.
● Experience with inventory, work orders, material staging, and production scheduling is helpful.
● Basic computer skills and ability to learn M3 and Infor systems.
● Ability to accurately identify and track raw materials.
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
● Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works in a manufacturing environment and involves material handling, production support, secondary assembly, inspection, inventory control, and billet cutting. Employees are expected to follow all required PPE, safety, housekeeping, and quality procedures.
Salary : $720 - $800
