About the Role
The Construction Manager oversees day‑to‑day field operations across multiple active projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the firm’s quality standards. This role works closely with the Director of Construction, the development team, the design consultants, and subcontractors throughout all phases of construction.
This position is ideal for a strong Superintendent or Project Manager who is ready to move onto the owners’ side.

We are a local, 15‑person real estate development firm specializing in ground‑up condominium and multifamily projects, as well as creative adaptive‑reuse developments. Our team is committed to delivering high‑quality residential communities and commercial deliverables through thoughtful design, disciplined execution, and quality construction.
We are seeking to add another Construction Manager who can confidently navigate both the jobsite and the office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily on‑site construction activities for projects as assigned
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel
- Conduct regular site walks to monitor progress, quality, and safety
- Assist with project scheduling, sequencing, and short‑interval planning
- Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure alignment with project goals
- Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and delays
- Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and site documentation
- Support budget tracking, material procurement, and cost‑control efforts
- Participate in OAC meetings and provide updates to the Director of Construction
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Assist with punch lists, close‑out documentation, and turnover packages
- Bid contractors and subs as needed
- Occasionally manage supplemental labor or internal CM-jobs
Required Qualifications
- Experience with ground‑up multifamily, condo, or commercial construction
- 5 years of construction experience in a field or management role
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building systems, and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents
- Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage field operations
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel between job sites as needed
- Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Buildertrend, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with adaptive‑reuse or urban infill projects
- Background with a GC, owner’s rep, or development firm
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, or Revit
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $75,000 – $85,000
