What are the responsibilities and job description for the Embroidery/Screen Printing Production Worker position at Level One Graphics?
As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining both embroidery and screen printing machinery to produce vibrant, accurate, and high-quality designs on a variety of garments and products. This role requires attention to detail, a good mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor multi-head embroidery machines and manual/automatic screen printing presses.
- Job Preparation: Read and interpret work orders and design specifications to select appropriate materials (thread, ink, screens, garments) and prepare equipment.
- Quality Control: Perform test runs and conduct continuous quality checks throughout production to ensure color accuracy, registration, and overall product quality meet company standards.
- Maintenance & Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on all production equipment and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot production issues and equipment malfunctions as they arise.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members in the art, screen, and fulfillment departments to ensure efficient workflow and meet production deadlines.
- Finishing Tasks: Assist with finishing tasks such as trimming threads, folding, counting, and packaging finished items for shipping or customer pickup.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience (1-2 years preferred) operating commercial embroidery and/or screen printing equipment is highly desirable, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Attention to Detail: A strong eye for detail to ensure high-quality, precise work.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic computer skills for operating design software and the ability to perform minor equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, self-driven, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is generally required.
