What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Stack Software Developer position at Level Five Solutions?
Level Five Solutions is looking for a full time, Full-Stack Software Developer to join our team.
We work with a wide range of clients, from Fortune 1000 companies to local organizations, which means our developers get exposed to a lot of different problems, industries, technologies, and ways of working.
When we say “full stack,” we actually mean it. Depending on the project, you may be working on a database, building an API, developing a web interface, helping architect a new application, working on a native mobile app, or trying to make sense of a legacy system that has been around and neglected longer than anyone wants to admit.
Our developers tend integrate deeply with the teams we support, and are often involved from requirements and early technical planning all the way through development, deployment, and ongoing support. If you like variety, ownership, learning new things, and seeing how the work you build actually affects a business, you may fit in very well here. If you want to specialize in one framework and pulling tickets from the same backlog every day, this is not the job for you.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support software across a wide variety of technologies and platforms
- Work across front-end, back-end, databases, APIs, integrations, mobile applications, and cloud services depending on the project
- Work directly with clients to understand requirements, solve problems, provide technical guidance, and support existing solutions
- Participate in projects from early discovery and architecture through development, deployment, and ongoing support
- Move between greenfield projects and existing applications across multiple clients
- Work closely with project managers, designers, developers, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget
- Make practical technical decisions that balance code quality, maintainability, user experience, timeline, budget, and business value
- Learn unfamiliar technologies when a project calls for them
Requirements
- Professional software development experience working on production applications
- A solid foundation in software development through professional experience, a computer science program, bootcamp, self-directed study, or something equivalent
- Experience with modern front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar
- Experience working with server-side development and APIs using technologies such as .NET, Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage your own work
- Comfortable moving between projects, clients, and technologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work directly with clients in a professional setting
- Good technical judgment and an understanding that the goal is not simply to write interesting code, but to solve the right problem for the client
- Be thoroughly offended by bad user experience and driven to make it better
What makes this role different
We care a lot more about whether you can learn, communicate, solve problems, and deliver good work than whether your current stack perfectly matches ours. You may get opportunities to help architect solutions, make meaningful technical decisions, work directly with client leadership, and own substantial pieces of a project from beginning to end. Our developers get a level of ownership that can be difficult to find early in a career.
This position comes with variety. You will work across multiple clients and regularly encounter technologies or codebases you have not seen before. Being able to switch context, learn quickly, and figure things out is important here.
If you are detail-oriented, curious, comfortable talking to people, and like the idea of owning problems from beginning to end, we would like to hear from you.
Experience:
- Front-end development: 2 years (Preferred)
- Full-stack development: 1 year (Preferred)
Ability to Commute/Hybrid schedule
- Overland Park, KS 66085 (Required)
