Packaging Technician Job Description
This position provides support to the production department and performs daily packaging tasks while maintaining company policies and ensuring that products meet Levante’s high-quality standards.
Responsibilities and Duties: (including but not limited to)
- Wash kegs
- Perform duties of pack out position on canning line
- Assist with cleaning and upkeep of all packaging areas as well as staging and storage areas
- Communicate regularly, effectively, and efficiently with supervisors and team members
- Follow Cleaning & Maintenance Schedules and perform all required cleaning to the appropriate standard including tanks, floors, walls, tank exteriors, kegs, packaging lines, and other equipment as directed
- Perform all appropriate tasks and projects as assigned by the Production Manager
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Able to work rotating shifts, to include days, nights, and weekends
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and multi-task
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Forklift certification (training available if needed)
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, crouch/bend, perform repetitive motions
- Ability to frequently lift up to 55 pounds and able to move up to 165 pounds
- Capable of working in various conditions, such as hot, cold, dusty, wet, etc.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Arrive at each shift on time with a positive attitude
- Previous experience in brewery packaging a plus
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
