Role Description
The LeVanta senior engineer will help design, build, and test prototypes, requiring extensive hands-on time and experience. The senior engineer will be assigned tasks, projects, and programs by the CTO, and will be expected to work independently and effectively to accomplish work assignments on time and on budget.
The start-up environment is dynamic, lean, demanding, and fast-paced. The ideal candidate is someone who can immediately contribute, deliver on planned goals, and motivate and infect others with a passion for product development. This position is based at LeVanta’s facility in Diamondhead, MS.
Skills & Experience Required:
- UAS / light aircraft configuration design, build, and testing experiences
- Flight control system development
- Aero/stability & control analysis and simulation in related fields
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Solidworks or similar CAD system proficient
Skills & Experience Preferred:
- Aeronautical configuration design and performance analysis
- Flight dynamics and simulation, CFD analysis
- Drone system architecture, software programming, and flight testing
- Electrical and electronic system design, wiring, harness, and assembly
- Datalink, communication systems, Detect-and-Avoid system
