Job Summary
Prosthodontic specialty clinic looking for a skilled, motivated Dental Assistant to join our team and help our patients feel comfortable while delivering excellent care. This is a part-time position, one day a week on Fridays, 8-5pm. Our focus is on full mouth prosthetic rehabilitation treatments and cosmetic makeovers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment through proper aseptic techniques.
- Take dental x-rays
- Take 3D intraoral scans
- Record patient medical and dental histories
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures (chairside support)
- Assist dentist in cleaning procedures by performing polishing and flossing
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Sterilize instruments and equipment
- Manage inventory and maintain cleanliness of clinical areas
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
- Manage and maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Must be able to assist with surgical procedures. Experience with implant surgery preferable.
Requirements
- Dental Assistant certification or relevant training
- VA Dental Radiology certification
- CPR certification
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, instruments and material
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Work authorization (Work Permit, Green Card, US Citizenship)
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 per week
Work Location: In person
