THE ROLE: PORTER  
Porters play an essential role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our bakery. 
Porters support the overall operations by maintaining a clean and safe environment for both 
customers and staff, which supports the team in daily operations. Porters understand that a 
clean and safe space is the foundation for any workplace.

Training and Development:  
• Complete your required role training and apply all skills learned to your position 
• Stay up to date on MIX: complete ALL new modules for current and new product 
launches and operating procedures  
• Participate in training sessions to improve skills and knowledge  
• Stay informed about new products, procedures, and promotions

CUSTOMER  
Customer Service:  
• When in customer areas, greet customers with a warm and welcoming demeanor   
• Foster a customer-focused culture within the bakery, where every team member 
prioritizes the customer experience  
OPERATIONS  
Store Maintenance  
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the store, including customer areas, restrooms, and 
workspaces, throughout the shift  
• Sweep floors and sidewalk, mop, and dust areas where needed  
• Communicate any maintenance issues to management  
Washing & Sanitizing  
• Wash, sanitize, restock dishes, trays, baking tools, and other supplies  
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for customers and 
staff: Ensure all surfaces, floors, and equipment are clean and sanitized   
Opening & Closing Duties  
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of bakery displays and equipment  
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain anti-fatigue floor mats  
• Empty trash in bathrooms, workstations, and customer-facing areas throughout the 
day  
• Maintain cleanliness inside waste bins  
Inventory Management  
• Assist in restocking and organizing inventory and adhere to guidelines given from 
Cookie Lead or management  
Receiving & Deliveries  
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries, ensuring proper storage of dry and 
refrigerated goods  
Operations  
• Support the team in daily operations, including light food preparation and packaging as 
needed  
Waste Management  
• Empty trash in bathrooms, work stations, and customer-facing areas throughout the 
day  
• Maintain cleanliness inside the waste bins  
Requirements  
• Previous custodian or porter experience in F&B or retail is preferred  
• Open availability: ability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays  
• Ability to lift/push up to 50 pounds, including overhead  
• Stand/walk for an 8-hour shift (excluding a ½ hour break); some locations require 
walking up and down stairs  
Compensation & Benefits  
• $18-20.25/hour
