About the Role
We are looking for a talented Architectural Designer with 3–5 years of professional experience to join our growing team. This role requires a balance of design creativity, technical proficiency, and project coordination skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and ready to take ownership of design tasks while working closely with senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop design concepts and carry them through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and the permitting process.
- Produce and coordinate detailed drawings, specifications, and presentations.
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and clients throughout project phases.
- Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning requirements, and accessibility standards.
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a flexible mindset, adaptability to changing situations, and a creative approach to challenges.
- Willingness and ability to grow into a leadership role by managing and mentoring 1–2 interns or junior designers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in custom residential design.
- Strong proficiency in BIM and 3D modeling software (Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Suite, etc.).
- Solid understanding of construction documentation and detailing.
- Knowledge of building codes and permitting processes in the Greater Sacramento area.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

3. 15-Min Zoom Interview
We will reach out to ideal-match candidates via email to schedule a 15-minute Zoom interview with Lev Design's Executive Assistant, Melissa Gee. Melissa will ask questions to learn more about the candidate beyond their resume and Predictive Index result.
Candidates who are a good fit will be sent a Predictive Index Cognitive Assessment.
4. Predictive Index Cognitive Assessment
Candidates whose Behavioral Assessment scores match the role's criteria will be sent a Cognitive Assessment to complete. The Cognitive Assessment will ensure that candidates considered have at least the average cognitive ability required for this role.
5. In-Person Interview
We will schedule in-person interviews with candidates that we wish to consider for the role. In this interview, candidates will be asked questions about their ability to perform role duties, meet our staff, and learn more about the role.
