Role Description The Paralegal will support attorneys in a full-time, on-site role based in Honolulu, HI. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with legal research, organizing case files, drafting and formatting legal documents, and preparing materials for hearings, mediations, and trials. The role involves reviewing and summarizing documents, managing discovery, and maintaining accurate case records and deadlines. The Paralegal will communicate with attorneys, staff, clients, and external parties to coordinate information and ensure timely completion of case-related tasks. This position requires strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to work collaboratively in a litigation-focused environment.


Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of Law and familiarity with litigation, insurance coverage, and civil procedure.
  • Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting pleadings, correspondence, and discovery materials.
  • Strong Research abilities using legal databases and other resources to support case strategy and document preparation.
  • Experience with Document Review, including organizing, analyzing, and summarizing case files and discovery.
  • Clear and professional Communication skills for working with attorneys, staff, clients, and vendors.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited program preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with legal practice management software and standard office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, PDF tools).
  • Ability to work on-site in Honolulu, HI and collaborate effectively within a team-based law firm setting.
