Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to join our charming Tea Room on weekends. Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly smile and positive attitude, guiding them to their tables efficiently
- Taking cake orders and custom orders in person or on phone
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about menu options and seating availability
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth flow of service and guest satisfaction
- Check out guests and grab them treats from the bakery counter
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring an inviting entrance
- Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and seating adjustments to enhance overall guest relations
- Support team members during busy periods by managing waiting lists and communicating wait times clearly
Experience
- Previous host/host experience in a food service or restaurant setting is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations
- Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
- Background in food service, serving, or hotel guest services is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Prior experience with restaurant or hospitality operations will help you succeed in creating memorable guest experiences
Pay
Flat rate of $14 an hour 10% of pooled tips for that day.
HOURS YOU WILL BE WORKING:
Every Saturday and Sunday 7am-5pm, and occasionally Fridays if available
Pay: $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 per week
