Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage cash handling, including cash register operations, giving correct change, and balancing drawers at shift end
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Assist in food handling and basic food preparation tasks to support café operations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience with knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage customization
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform retail math confidently
- Experience in food handling, food safety practices, and basic food preparation techniques
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Knowledge of the food industry standards related to serving, cashiering, and food safety regulations
