Let's Talk Therapy Services has been opened to serve children and families in the Lake County area since 2021.
The clinic was founded by Ana Medina as a way to serve the community using her skills and expertise in the areas of pediatric speech, language and feeding disorders. After working with children with special needs for over 20 years
she decided it was time for her to provide them with a place where they can come and get their services to further improve their communication skills in a caring and loving environment.
We are family local and clinician owned facility. We provide personalized therapy programs that are tailored for the patients need. Our services include children, adolescent and adults that may have a communication disorder and require treatment.
The clinic offers patient evaluation, treatment plan and individual therapy services that accommodate to the particular necessity of the patient.
Our services can be provided in both English or Spanish language.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) position based in Clermont, FL. The SLPA will be responsible for supporting speech therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Daily tasks include assisting with the implementation of individualized therapy plans, conducting articulation exercises, documenting therapy progress notes, and ensuring adherence to established communication therapy protocols. Collaboration with team members to provide high-quality support to patients will be a key aspect of this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Speech and Speech Therapy techniques
- Experience working with Communication and Communication Disorders
- Knowledge of articulation practices and methodologies
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow direction under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders (SLPA)
- Experience in educational or clinical settings is a plus
- Commitment to providing patient-focused care in a professional setting
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred but not required
