Let Mommy Sleep – Northwest Arkansas | Launching September 1

Let Mommy Sleep is coming to Northwest Arkansas on September 1, and we’re building our very first local caregiver team.

If you’re a nurse or experienced newborn caregiver looking for meaningful, flexible supplemental work, this is an opportunity to be part of our founding Northwest Arkansas team and help bring a much-needed service to local families during one of the most important—and exhausting—times in their lives.

Let Mommy Sleep provides professional overnight newborn care so new parents can rest, recover and feel supported at home.

We’re especially interested in RNs, LPNs and other healthcare professionals who already have a primary job and want flexible PRN-style overnight opportunities.

What You’ll Do

Our caregivers provide nurturing, evidence-based newborn care in families’ homes overnight. Depending on the family’s needs, care may include:

  • Feeding, diapering, soothing and swaddling newborns
  • Caring for single babies and twins
  • Supporting breast- and bottle-feeding
  • Following evidence-based safe-sleep practices
  • Providing compassionate postpartum support to parents
  • Documenting baby’s feeding, sleep and diaper activity
  • Helping new parents feel supported and confident during the newborn stage

Most overnight caretimes are approximately 10 p.m.–6/7 a.m.

Registered Nurses may also have opportunities to provide in-home newborn education and postpartum visits during the day.

Why Join Let Mommy Sleep NWA?

Because we’re just getting started in Northwest Arkansas, you’ll have the opportunity to join our first group of caregivers and help establish a trusted newborn and postpartum care service in our community.

We offer:

  • Flexible, self-set availability
  • An excellent opportunity for supplemental income
  • Meaningful one-on-one care with newborns and families
  • Opportunities to care for single babies and twins
  • Continuing education and newborn-care training
  • Support from an established national newborn and postpartum care organization
  • Opportunities to build additional mother/baby and newborn experience
  • The chance to grow with our Northwest Arkansas team from the beginning

Caregivers provide services as independent contractors (1099).

Who We’re Looking For

We are especially interested in:

  • Registered Nurses (RN)
  • Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
  • Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)
  • Nursing students with hands-on newborn experience
  • Mother/Baby, Labor & Delivery, NICU or pediatric professionals
  • Experienced postpartum doulas
  • Infant-room caregivers, nannies and other professionals with substantial newborn experience

A nursing credential is valuable, but meaningful hands-on newborn experience is especially important.

Strong applicants will be dependable, professional, comfortable working independently in family homes, and committed to evidence-based newborn care.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Meaningful newborn or infant-care experience
  • Reliable transportation
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain it
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screening
  • Ability to provide professional references related to caregiving
  • Willingness to complete required newborn-care and safe-sleep training
  • Availability for overnight caretimes

Additional Let Mommy Sleep credentialing and documentation requirements must be completed before placement with a family.
