Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee daily operations of our bar and FOH. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining efficient bar operations in a fast-paced environment. Previous hospitality management, restaurant experience & Bartending are highly desirable.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all bar activities, including food preparation, drink service, and inventory control.
- Manage staff training, development, and scheduling to ensure optimal team performance.
- Oversee food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and compliance with health regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS system
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs to meet budgetary goals.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Lead shift management by coordinating staff assignments and ensuring smooth operations during busy hours
- Collaborate with kitchen management on food production, menu planning, and catering events such as banquets or special functions.
- Monitor quality standards for food handling, beverage presentation, and overall guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven management experience in a bar/ restaurant setting
- Extensive background in food service management including supervising staff, training & development, and shift management.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and food safety regulations.
- Experience with POS systems such as Spot on or Toast Preferred
- Demonstrated ability in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within a restaurant or bar setting.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
- Background in customer service excellence with a focus on hospitality standards across various dining formats including banquet or catering services. This Position is a hands on Role. You will be responsible for running the bar as well as managing the Front of House such as overrseeing the customers on the floor and the overseeing the servers.
A minimum of 2 Yrs of Bartending experience is required
