Job Summary
Lesson Adventures is a growing, family-centered music studio serving students across Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, and surrounding areas. We specialize in providing Private In-Home music lessons that are convenient for families and engaging for students.
We are currently hiring reliable, personable, and motivated Guitar, Piano and Voice Instructors to join our team. This position begins part-time with the opportunity to grow into a fuller schedule over time.
Responsibilities
- Travel to students’ homes to teach weekly private lessons
- Must love working with kids, teens and adults!
- Design and implement customized lesson plans that align with each student’s goals, skill level, and learning style
- Teach fundamental techniques and music theory in an engaging manner
- Teach beginner to intermediate/advanced students
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and progress in all students
- Build positive relationships with students and families
- Incorporate fun and engaging creative tools into each lesson, interactive games, music props, various resources to enhance learning experiences
- Track student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to motivate continued improvement
- Record daily student attendance and lesson notes through our student portal
Requirements
- Proficiency in guitar, piano and/or voice
- Degree in music or equivalent experience preferred
- At least 1-2 years of teaching experience
- Strong understanding of basic music theory and foundational technique
- Ability to work with children, teenagers, and adults with patience and enthusiasm for various learning styles
- Ideal candidate commitment for long term (12 months or more)
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
- Professional, friendly, punctual, organized, and dependable
- Ability to teach multiple instruments is a plus
- Ability to pass a background check
Schedule Expectations
- Availability of 2-3 days during after-school hours (afternoons/evenings) is required
- Weekend availability is a plus
- Must be able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
