This position will contribute specifically to the Machinery Division’s print and digital properties to include developing, writing and production of print and online content for Lessiter Media’s business-to-business publications in the ag industry. The Content Associate will collaborate directly with the Executive Editor on short- and long-form features for both online and print, along with additional editorial projects. Position requires regular writing assignments, copyediting and proofing of various written materials for ag publications. Position also requires posting content online, social media engagement relevant to ag titles. Potential for some travel. 

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, developing and creating in-depth editorial content that supports Farm Equipment’s objectives and goals. 
• Curious and inquisitive writer who constantly seeks out industry trends and information. 
• Ability to gather and analyze all available information to tell a story on how it will benefit the readership, not just report on facts. 
• This position requires a flexible, adaptable attitude, with the ability to learn, understand and simplify technical, business and specific farming information for niche audiences.

• College degree in journalism or related field. 
• Agricultural background is a plus.
• Stellar grammar and spelling skills. 
• Strong writer. 
• Experienced with social networking and digital media. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to consistently meet deadlines. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required, both written and oral. 
• Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task and make sound decisions under pressure.
