Summary

LesserEvil is an innovative, healthy-snacks brand hiring a Supply Chain Manager to work on-site at our Danbury, CT office 5 days per week.

LesserEvil is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to own the day-to-day execution of purchasing, forecasting, and vendor coordination for our rapidly scaling company. This is a hands-on, in-the-weeds role: keeping raw material, film, and corrugated supply flowing, keeping forecasts and spreadsheets current, and keeping every stakeholder in the loop as timelines shift. The right candidate is detail-obsessed, thrives on ownership of the daily blocking and tackling, and is a spreadsheet wizard who's energized by solving today's problem in front of them.

This position reports directly to LesserEvil's Director, Supply Chain and is based out of our Danbury, CT office (this role is not eligible for remote or hybrid status at this time).

Role/Responsibilities

• Serve as the point person for day-to-day purchasing activities for all materials across a fast-scaling business.
• Maintain and continually refine purchasing forecasting models for all material needs (spreadsheet fluency is a must).
• Track current material availability and flag risks to future availability based on market conditions, delivery timelines, and other variables.
• Communicate with detail and focus to all company stakeholders, keeping the team informed as timelines are updated and forecasts evolve.
• Support vendor relationship management day-to-day: routine negotiation, resolving grievances, and coordinating deliveries.
• Assist with bid conditions and administer purchase orders.
• Audit pricing structures, focusing on contract vs. invoice pricing, and flag discrepancies or savings opportunities.
• Support traceability efforts for all materials.
• Assist with SQF compliance documentation and financial audits as needed.
• Communicating clearly and effectively across departments and LesserEvil locations.
• Championing a continuous improvement mindset by recommending and implementing enhancements to processes, procedures, and systems
• Performing other related duties as assigned and special projects as designated

Qualifications

• College degree preferred, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
• 4 years of purchasing and/or logistics experience
• CPG or Manufacturing experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces at once
• Ability to work without direct supervision on daily tasks while following direction from the Director, Supply Chain on strategy and priorities
• Ability to collaborate with different departments
• Proficient with Gmail, Excel and/or Google Sheets

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be willing to work in Danbury, CT
• Must have a reliable vehicle as daily trips between factory, warehouse, and office may be necessary

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
