Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Mail Delivery Driver as a 1099 hire. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages along the same route Monday- Saturday. Start time 9am till done, roughly a 6-7 hr day. Your energetic approach will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be on the move, utilizing your driving skills and manual handling expertise to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate your personal vehicle to complete daily routes
- Sort mail to the addresses listed on the case
- Scan packages
- Keep postal book up to date every month
- Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, must be able to lift up to 70lbs
- Follow prescribed routes while adhering strictly to traffic regulations
- Ensure all deliveries are accurate by verifying recipient details and securing signatures when required
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting recipients professionally and addressing any delivery concerns with a positive attitude
- Qualifications
- Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and delivery procedures
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background check for the USPS.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a clean driving record
- Provide your own reliable vehicle
- Provide your own vehicle insurance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely following safe lifting practices and manual handling protocols
- Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor at all times
- Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and communication
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Looking for longevity, and a good hard work ethic
Pay: $5,000.00 per month
