- 4:30 pm) with a shortened academic day in the summer and time off in July and August. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ### **Responsibilities** As a One-to-One Aide, your primary role is to provide individualized support to students with emotional disabilities and/or autism. Key responsibilities include: -
- Supporting Instruction:**Assist with lesson plans under the guidance of the Special Education teacher, adjusting strategies to meet the student\'s needs. -
- Promoting Engagement:**Help create a positive, engaging, and self-motivating classroom environment that encourages social interaction. -
- Tracking Progress:**Monitor and maintain records to support students\' IEPs, ensuring accurate documentation. -
- Collaboration:**Work closely with the teaching team, clinicians, and administrators to support students\' academic and emotional progress. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ### **Qualifications** -
- Bachelor\'s degree is required**(preferably in education, psychology, counseling, or a related field).
- Illinois State Certification, Type 39 (or the willingness to obtain within 90 days).
- Experience working with students with Emotional Disabilities and/or
- Strong commitment to empowering students and families.

- Mental:**Ability to plan and implement lesson plans for students with emotional challenges, manage behaviors, and develop clear, accurate reports. -
- Physical:**Ability to lift at least 20 pounds and occasionally move light items.
