Job Overview:
The Facilities Services Associate supports the daily operation of a chemical manufacturing plant by maintaining assigned facility areas, supporting housekeeping standards, operating approved cleaning equipment, and assisting with general site services. This role helps ensure production, warehouse, office, restroom, breakroom, and common areas remain clean, orderly, and safe for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Compensation Range: $17.00 - $18.00 /Hourly
Compensation within range to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge and skills, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Responsibilities:
- Operate floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuums, mops, and other approved cleaning equipment in accordance with site procedures.
- Perform routine cleaning of plant common areas, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, walkways, and other assigned spaces.
- Remove trash, recyclables, and non-hazardous waste from designated areas and place materials in proper collection locations.
- Support spill prevention and housekeeping by promptly reporting spills, leaks, unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or facility concerns.
- Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, sanitizer, cleaning materials, and personal protective equipment as assigned.
- Follow all chemical handling, labeling, PPE, safety, and environmental procedures when using cleaning agents or working around production areas.
- Maintain cleaning logs, checklists, and related documentation accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
- Prior custodial, janitorial, warehouse, industrial, or facilities experience preferred
- Must be able to follow written procedures, use cleaning chemicals safely, wear required PPE, and work in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds as required
- Work around industrial equipment, chemical odors, noise, and temperature changes while wearing required PPE.
