Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and high-voltage electrical components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes quickly.
- Repair or replace mechanical parts utilizing welding (including
welding), precision measuring instruments, and hand tools. - Operate and calibrate diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to assess electrical circuits—low voltage and high voltage alike.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist with field service tasks involving industrial electrician work, HVAC/R repairs, or hydraulic system adjustments.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and control diagrams to execute precise repairs or installations.
- Support safety protocols by ensuring all maintenance activities comply with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in hydraulics, electrical systems (including low voltage and high voltage), and HVAC/R systems.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial maintenance procedures, and CMMS software is highly desirable.
- Skilled in welding techniques specific to
welding standards; experience in field service is a plus. - Familiarity with industrial schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and analysis skills for diagnosing equipment failures.
- Excellent customer service mindset with strong communication skills in English—both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of safety practices related to industrial maintenance including working on high-voltage systems and using scissor lifts safely.
