Technical Quoting Specialist - IT Hardware & Software

About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Quoting Specialist with experience in IT hardware and software to support our Managed IT Sales team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can accurately source and quote computers, servers, networking equipment, and software solutions from industry-leading vendors, often under time pressures. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of IT hardware components, software licensing, and vendor relationships, ensuring we provide accurate and timely quotes to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Research and generate competitive quotes for IT hardware and software solutions.
Source and procure computers, servers, networking devices, and software from authorized distributors and vendors.
Ensure accurate and competitive pricing to optimize sales opportunities.
Maintain strong relationships with IT vendors to negotiate the best pricing and availability.
Identify and anticipate future inventory needs to ensure efficient product availability.
Work closely with sales and service teams to provide timely and accurate technical quotes.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, quotes, and vendor communications.
Qualifications & Experience
3 years of experience with IT hardware components, including computers, servers, networking equipment, and peripherals.
- 1 years of experience in sourcing IT hardware components strongly preferred
Experience with software licensing and vendor management is a plus.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to identify different operating systems, software solutions, and IT products based on descriptions.
Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
Ability to pass random drug tests and a background check.
