Role: Customer Success Specialist - Billing Ops

Salary: $58,000 - $63,000 USD

Location: Chicago, IL

Your Typical Day Sees You

  • Draft partnership agreements and complete billing setups across all customer types.
  • Manage daily support cases with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Follow monthly processing schedules, including specialized invoicing, data cleanup, and partner communications.
  • Generate and issue timely, accurate invoices; process incoming payments and reconcile accounts.
  • Monitor outstanding balances, follow up on overdue payments, and escalate delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain data integrity through audits and reconciliations to ensure accurate billing.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for US billing and AR processes, supporting local and global stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with CX, legal, and finance teams on contractual and billing matters.
  • Build and maintain departmental SOPs; lead or support ad hoc projects and initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and service quality.
  • Flexibly support urgent tasks and high-priority initiatives to meet team goals.

  • 2 years of billing operations and account receivables experience
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
  • Proficient with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
  • Familiarity with Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform preferred
  • Comfortable interacting with customers on the phone and by email
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Energized by building relationships within teams and with customers
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and resilient
  • Embrace change and excel in fast-paced environments
  • Continuously looking for ways to improve our ways of working, and individual skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, both to individuals and groups.
