Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer – Land Development to join our team. In this role, you will take projects from concept through construction, working closely with our survey, design, and permitting teams to produce innovative, cost-effective, and compliant engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering design for residential, commercial, and mixed-use land development projects.
- Prepare grading, drainage, roadway, and utility plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.
- Create stormwater management plans, hydrology reports, and erosion control designs in compliance with local and state regulations.
- Oversee permitting processes with Pierce County, City of Puyallup, and other Washington agencies.
- Collaborate with survey crews, architects, contractors, and municipal reviewers to ensure project success.
- Conduct site inspections, resolve field issues, and provide construction administration support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; PE license preferred.
- 3 years of land development experience (Washington State experience preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; knowledge of HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS a plus.
- Strong understanding of local codes, stormwater regulations, and permitting processes.
