Part time position year-round. - Friday, Saturday, & Sunday.
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Associate to join our team. This role is the first point of contact for our guests and plays a key part in creating a welcoming and memorable experience. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, multitasking, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
KEY FUNCTIONS
- Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service
- Book and manage reservations using our reservation system
- Answer phone calls, emails, text messaging, and inquiries in a professional manner
- Schedule guest activities and provide information on available offerings
- Process payments and handle cash/credit transactions accurately
- Promote and sell merchandise, rentals, and add-on services
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area. Includes general office cleaning.
- Assists with laundry (washing, drying, folding).
- Assist guests with questions, directions, and general information. Knowledgeable about Spruce Pine, NC and surrounding communities, local events and area attractions and activities.
- Resolve guest concerns or escalate issues as needed. Communicates any problems, concerns, or suggestions to supervisor in a professional and timely manner
- Assists with administrative tasks including data management, guest record review, entering invoices into accounting system, and reporting.
- Assists with general store inventory management (wearing apparel, accessories, food, and beverage) including sales transactions and physical inventory counts.
- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and or/ability required. - Previous customer service or front desk experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn reservation software
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
REPORTING TO THIS POSITION
No Supervisory Responsibilities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to exert up to twenty-five pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects when needed. Most work is sedentary; it may be necessary to remain on feet for extended periods of time.
