The Revenue Manager leads revenue recognition processes and ensures compliance with accounting standards. The role is critical in driving accurate financial reporting, optimizing revenue operations, and supporting cross-functional initiatives across finance, sales, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees all aspects of revenue accounting, including contract review, billing, and revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
- Leads monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Collaborates with Sales, Legal, and FP&A teams to evaluate complex contracts and identify revenue implications
- Develops and maintains internal controls and policies related to revenue accounting.
- Manage deferred revenue schedules and reconciliations
- Prepares audit schedules and support external audits and SOX compliance
- Analyzes revenue trends and provide insights to senior leadership
- Supervises and mentors revenue accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development
- Supports system implementations and enhancements related to revenue processes (e.g., ERP, CRM)
Core Competencies:

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, preferably in a SaaS or subscription-based business
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage) and revenue automation tools
Salary range: $74,206 - $105,000
