What you will be doing:
The Interior Systems Engineer (Interior IP/Console) Responsible for design, development, and integration of interior systems including IP, console, trim, restraints, and soft components. Ensures delivery of high-quality, manufacturable, and compliant interior systems.
What you'll need to be successful (must haves):
- Design and develop interior components (IP, console, trim, seating, restraints)
- Create and manage CATIA CAD models, drawings, and specifications
- Support supplier integration, DV/PV testing, and prototype builds
- Perform DFMEA, validation testing, and issue resolution
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers
- Manage engineering changes and production readiness
- Degree in Mechanical or related engineering field
- Experience in automotive interior systems (IP/console preferred)
- Proficiency in CATIA CAD
- Knowledge of plastics, soft trim, and manufacturing processes
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
