- Define and decompose product requirements into clear, testable electrical system specifications.
- Design robust hardware solutions including power systems, sensor interfaces, and communication buses (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART).
- Lead system-level integration, ensuring seamless coordination between hardware, firmware, and mechanical domains to meet performance, safety, and compliance targets.
- Collaborate with embedded firmware teams to define hardware/software interfaces, support board bring-up, and validate functional integration through joint debugging and test cycles.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, such as block diagrams, DFMEAs, ICDs, and verification plans.
- Support EMC, thermal, and regulatory validation, coordinating with compliance and test labs.
- Champion continuous improvement in hardware development processes and configuration management.
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Electronics Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in hardware systems engineering or embedded hardware development.
- Expertise in analog and digital circuit design, PCB schematic development, and embedded system bring-up.
- Skilled in debugging hardware/software interfaces using scopes, logic analyzers, and embedded tools.
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI design practices, thermal considerations, and regulatory testing.
- Excellent documentation, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Availability for regular onsite engagement in support of hardware testing and system validation.
- 15 years in hardware systems engineering and embedded hardware design.
- Prior experience designing for forklifts, off-highway vehicles, or rugged environments.
- Exposure to C/C firmware development or firmware code reviews.
- Experience with RF/antenna systems, telematics, or wireless module integration (GNSS, Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).
- Track record supporting regulatory compliance across multiple markets.
