Continuous Improvement Leader

Within our manufacturing facility in Fort Morgan – Leprino is seeking a Continuous Improvement Leader to strengthen how we improve production performance, reliability, and efficiency across our cheese and dairy ingredient operations. We believe in building practical, sustainable improvements that help our teams work better every day. Your work will directly support cost, yield, and operational consistency across the plant.

At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $89,000 and $100,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 10%.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and guide continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen production performance, reliability, and efficiency across plant operations.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams to plan, track, and complete improvement efforts with clear timelines and measurable outcomes.
• Review plant workflows, identify gaps in process handoffs, and develop practical solutions that improve consistency and flow.
• Partner closely with operators and plant teams to understand current processes and uncover opportunities for improvement.
• Create and update training materials, ensuring teams have clear, accurate guidance to support new and existing processes.
• Analyze production data and performance trends to identify cost, yield, and efficiency opportunities.
• Lead process mapping and evaluation efforts to document current state and design improved workflows.
• Guide teams through structured improvement methods, including Kaizen events, standard work development, and root cause analysis.
• Support implementation of new tools, systems, and procedures that improve operational effectiveness and transparency.
• Provide clear updates to plant leadership on project progress, priorities, and expected impact.
• Mentor and support local continuous improvement team members, encouraging growth and development in their roles!
• Help build a culture where teams feel confident identifying issues and contributing to improvements every day!

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience in food manufacturing or a related production environment.
• 1 year of experience leading, mentoring, or guiding the work of others on projects or initiatives.
• Experience using continuous improvement methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar structured approaches.
• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives that focus on cost, yield, or efficiency improvements.

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

• A master’s degree or additional coursework in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• Experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Kaizen, 5S, standard work, and process mapping.
• Experience working with systems such as SAP, MES, or business intelligence tools.
• Experience in dairy or cheese manufacturing environments.
