At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role is currently $22.75 per hour.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain inventory of boxes on packaging line.
- Inspect packaging materials for defects.
- Inspect final cheese product for quality.
- Properly clean and sanitize all equipment following Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Package final cheese product into totes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Ability to access elevated work areas such as climbing ladders/stairs.
- Ability to understand and apply Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety practices.
- Maintain a clean work area according to Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Good communication skills to communicate with co-workers and incoming/outgoing shifts.
- Must be willing to work in a manufacturing environment that operates 24/7/365, this includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- This position will be exposed to working in a wet/slippery environment with loud noise in varying degrees of temperature
- Specific vision may be required for this position, including close vision, distance vision, color and depth perception, and the ability to read computer screens for extended time periods
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 38 pounds
- Frequent walking and standing
- Climb up and down stairs/ladders, bending and reaching required
Leprino uses Psychemedics for a 90-day hair follicle drug test as part of the employee pre-employment process and also participates in E-Verify. All employees in our manufacturing facilities are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as mandated by their role and location.
