Primary Responsibilities:
Sales Territory Development:
- Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with:
- Hospitality interior designers and architects
- Hotel ownership groups and developers
- Brand representatives and purchasing companies
- Focus on securing carpet specifications for:
- Full-service hotels
- Luxury, lifestyle, and boutique properties
- Resorts and mixed-use hospitality projects
- Represent the company brand and products through in-person presentations, lunch-and-learns, virtual meetings, and industry events.
- Strategically cover key Southeastern markets including Atlanta, DC, Miami, Charlotte, Nashville, and others within the region.
Project Management & Specification Process:
- Drive the specification process from initial presentation through project award.
- Work closely with the companies internal teams (Design, Planning, Operations, Project Management) to ensure project requirements are met and client expectations are exceeded.
- Track and manage project pipelines using CRM systems.
- Collaborate with ownership and purchasing agents to protect specifications and close project sales.
Sales Maintenance & Territory Growth:
- Follow up consistently with key accounts to maintain the companies brand presence and market share.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and new project opportunities.
- Attend major hospitality trade shows, networking events, and brand conferences to promote the companies capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in the hospitality interiors sector (flooring, textiles, FF&E, or related industries).
- Strong existing relationships within the A&D and hospitality design communities in the Southeast.
- Proven track record of managing a project-driven sales process from concept to close.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Southeastern United States.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide timely reporting and updates to management.
- Participate in regional sales meetings and training sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the North American sales team.
