Position Title: Quality Assurance Engineer (Mid-Level)

Position Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Product Engineering, the Quality Assurance Engineer will be a key member of the Leostream Technical team, which is central to the success of our organization and our global clients.  This remote position is responsible for performing the day-to-day testing tasks, as well as helping to investigate and solve problems for clients who deploy Leostream around the world. 

Specific responsibilities include:


  • Design, execute, and maintain test plans for all Leostream products, including UI workflows and end-to-end protocol-level behavior.
  • Validate integrations across identity providers, remote display protocols, hypervisors, and cloud-hosted resources.
  • Investigate, reproduce, and document defects using system logs, network traces, and cross-platform testing.
  • Maintain structured test documentation, test cases, and release validation checklists.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to refine requirements, improve testability, and ensure high-quality releases.
  • Develop expertise with Leostream products and other technologies in the fast-growing remote-access market segment.
  • Assist Developers with test configurations. 
  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in software QA with a focus on manual testing in complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of Windows and Linux administration basics, including networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
  • Experience testing remote-access, virtualization, VDI, or cloud/virtual machine environments is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze logs, system behavior, and network captures (e.g., Wireshark) for troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with identity and authentication systems (SAML, LDAP/AD, RADIUS, MFA concepts) preferred.
  • Experience working with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or cloud providers (AWS, Azure) preferred.
  • Strong written documentation skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong emphasis will be placed on problem solving skills, personal initiative, and people skills. Sense of humor is mandatory (we’re a group of characters!)
  • Ability to learn quickly and complete projects accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • High enthusiasm and desire to work on an entrepreneurial team.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills are mandatory.
  • Roll-up-your-sleeves attitude is a must.

Compensation

Salary range: $85,000 - $90,000 based on experience and work location.  

Additional bonus potential will be based on individual and company performance.
