Job description:Multi-state law firm is seeking a full-time Compliance Director for its Southbury, CT location.Compensation is commensurate with experience, benefits, and 401K.Responsibilities:Work with various business unit representatives and process owners to review internal systems and processesCreate and maintain training documentationEnforce policies and procedures related to internal firm practices and regulatory requirementsConduct annual and ongoing firm trainings as neededComplete client due diligence packagesWrite reports based on QA testing results and maintain records in an organized fashionReceive and evaluate management action plans to address deficiencies in compliance with laws, regulations and servicing standards to ensure effective remediationMonitor progress in implementation of action plansIdentify and escalate issues and trendsMaintain regular communication with Quality Assurance Manager, Managing Attorneys and Department Supervisors and provide updates on the status of work activitiesPerform ad hoc projects as assigned to assist in analyzing the Company’s risk and control environment or assisting the Quality Assurance ManagerAssist with highly visible daily compliance checks for clients on active files.Key Result Areas:Complete assigned compliance reviewsAccurately report findings, escalate issues and follow through to resolutionMeet and/or exceed review quality and production standardsProper tracking and reporting on the implementation of new or improved controls and processesQualifications:A Bachelor’s degree is preferred2 years of experience in compliance, audit, quality control or process review preferredInternal audit experience in financial services, mortgage servicing industry or law firm environment a plusExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to balance multiple duties independently in a time-sensitive and fast-paced environment as well as in a team settingPossess strong analytical skills and extraordinary attention to detailWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Benefits:Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and 401(k) retirement plan.Compensation is commensurate with experience, with significant upward potential.
