What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher (Non Emergency Medical) position at Leopard Transport of Central FL?
Provide professional customer service for incoming calls from medical facilities and individuals needing non-emergency medical transport to and from hospitals, nursing facilities, dialysis centers, rehabilitation centers, medical offices and private residences. Dispatchers are responsible for the accurate input and communication of transport information to the drivers and attendants. In addition, dispatchers are responsible for building strong, positive relationships with clients and coworkers.
REQUIREMENTS
· Must be 21 years of older
· High School Diploma or GED
· Must be eligible to work in the United States
· Must pass a mandatory criminal background check with no felony convictions
· Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screening
· Strong customer service, verbal and written communication, decision making and problem-solving skills
· Empathy and compassion
· Proficient computer skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook
· Must be able to work non-traditional shifts and have flexible work schedules as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Take incoming calls for non-emergency medical transport
· Accurately input transport information
· Understand care facilities and their transport needs
· Manage transportation for contracted facilities and build relationships with their staff
· Dispatch vehicles with appropriate types of transports
· Prioritize and assign transports, while ensuring deadlines are met
· Assist with administrative tasks, such as typing, filing, proofreading, and data entry
· Communicate effectively and professionally with drivers and attendants regarding transports
· Adhere to HIPPAA and patient privacy regulations
· Adhere to ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) regulations
· Adhere to policies, rules and regulations of the Company
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Non-Emergency Medical Transport Dispatcher must be able to work in an office environment consisting of long periods of sitting.
