Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing reservation systems such as OpenTable when applicable.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend popular dishes or drinks through upselling techniques, and promote specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations.
- Clear tables efficiently by bussing dishes, resetting tables quickly for new guests, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering functions, manage cash handling responsibilities responsibly, and balance registers at shift end.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of restaurant policies, menu items—including culinary ingredients—and POS operations to provide seamless service.
- Support team members in sanitation efforts, adhering to health regulations and sanitation standards throughout all duties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that enhances guest experiences.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking efficiently during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations; attention to detail is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Culinary experience or kitchen support background is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is key.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and team members alike.

Pay: $20.14 - $24.25 per hour
