Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist – Day Shift (Farmington, NY)
$21–$24/hr • Full-Time • Full Benefits • Stable Day Schedule

What You’ll Do
- Monitor A/R aging and follow up on past-due balances
- Contact customers by phone, email, and portal to drive timely payment
- Review customer portals for invoice receipt and payment status
- Research and resolve short pays, overpays, and account discrepancies
- Apply cash receipts (ACH, EDI, checks) accurately and on time
- Track unapplied cash and ensure all funds are properly assigned
- Document all account activity and communication
- Work with internal teams to resolve billing issues and disputes
- Escalate problem accounts or risks to the Supervisor
Requirements
What You Bring
- 1 year of A/R, collections, or related experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management and follow-through
- Clear, professional communication skills
- Ability to stay organized and document thoroughly
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and repetitive task workflows
- High school diploma or equivalent
