Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and courteously upon arrival, providing a positive first impression
- Manage seating arrangements efficiently
- Maintain waitlists and communicate wait times effectively to guests
- Assist guests with seating, answer questions about the menu or restaurant amenities, and provide information about specials or events
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service
- Keep the host station clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
- Support guest needs throughout their visit, ensuring a memorable dining experience
Experience
- Prior host/host experience preferred, especially within food service or restaurant settings
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills
- Experience in hospitality, hotel guest services, or serving roles is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential
