Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, or portioning items to support kitchen chefs
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste regularly
- Support catering and banquet setups by preparing food items and ensuring serving stations are stocked and tidy
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy meal periods
- Assist in bussing tables and clearing dining areas during service to enhance guest experience
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Knowledge of basic food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or bending comfortably
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced setting
