Senior Technical Intern - Data Engineer/Scientist

Job Summary

This is a fully in-person summer internship located in Germantown, Maryland. We are seeking a rising junior pursuing a degree in engineering or science discipline. Interns will work full-time for a minimum of 12 weeks during the summer.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our AI/ML Engineering team and gain hands-on experience with real-world ML workflows, from data preparation through model training, field testing, and deployment.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and preprocess data for model training
• Investigate anomalies and data quality issues
• Develop and improve data pipelines to support ML workflows
• Execute model training workflows and processes
• Analyze and interpret test results to inform model improvements
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Rising junior, pursuing an Engineering degree or Science degree
• Must have good interpersonal skills
• Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
• Proficiency in Python is required
• Proficency in MATLAB is preferred
• Experience with database technologies such as SQL or Redis is preferred

The salary for this position is $23/hour. This reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting.
