Job Summary
As a Senior EHS Specialist you will perform daily activities focused on Environmental Protection and Employee Safety in our Naval Electronics' RF and Sensors Center of Excellence located in Largo, FL.
Job Responsibilities
- Preparation of Safety Data Sheet (SDS), master labels and other documentation as needed
- Aids management with safety and regulatory audits
- Overseas the hazardous waste removal and handling procedures
- Responsible for customer inquiries on shipping, handling, and disposal of chemicals
- Responsible for generating literature for orders, SDS, etc.
- Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Responds to problems and issues in a tactful and expedient manner
- Performs facilities inspections and reporting requirements
- Collects data and generates reports and metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Science or related field preferred with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with OSHA and annual compliance training strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization and negotiation skills are mandatory
- Must have excellent PC-based computer skills
