The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.

Job Summary

Promote and foster continued business develoment opportunities with existing customers. Expand and grow business base by developing new customer relationships. This role is focused in the international market.

Job Responsibilities

  • Promote and foster continued business development opportunities with existing customers
  • Expand and grow business base by developing new customer relationships
  • Support the Company's short and long-term strategic plan to meet or exceed their Bookings forecast under direction from senior leadership
  • Overall responsibility for the accuracy and achievement of their Bookings Forecast and Plan
  • Visit and prospective, new, and existing customers on a regular basis
  • Perform competitive market analysis. Monitor competitive activity and identifies customer needs
  • Formulate and exercise marketing plans and programs, both short and long range to ensure achievement of financial objectives, and products and services innovation
  • Support and monitor the Bid and Proposal Budgets
  • Assist in the development of the planning, designing and implementing of business plans, such as, capture plans, proposal activities
  • Work closely with other departments and/or functions (e.g. Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc) to coordinate customer activities, and market strategies
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Make presentations on Company portfolio of products and services
  • Attend business meetings as requested
  • Attend trade shows
  • Make presentations on Company portfolio of products and services.
  • Attend business meetings and trade shows globally, as requested.
  • Responsible for customers in International Market globally to include Europe, Middle East North Africa (MENA), Indo Pacific, and Central and South America.

Job Responsibilities Part II

  • Responsible for the front of the business for international regions as assigned by the company.
  • Responsible for supporting and / or leading C4I/C5I Battle Management System (BMS) demonstrations in cooperation with program management, engineering, and Business Area (BA) for customers in region.
  • Responsible for supporting and liaising with LDRS corporate in country and regional leads in pursuing and capturing business in the region when required.
  • Responsible for supporting and liaising with Leonardo in pursuing and capturing business in the region when required.
  • Responsible for managing DLE / BA LOB teaming agreement requirements and relationships with partners and teammates and any other current or future teammates assigned by DLE / BA when required in region.
  • BD Lead / Representative in assigned global region(s) for won / current programs. Represents BD at program events to include PMRs, fielding, installing, and training to provide market level knowledge, advice, and translation for DLE personnel, DLE partners, and customer leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Understanding of US Contracting and budgeting processes
  • Fluency in at least one foreign language at intermediate level desired
  • Strong interpersonal verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent planning and organization, project management, and time management skills
  • Ability to work on extremely complex problems
  • Advanced knowledge of Company products, markets and technology
  • Able to support travel 50% travel
