Leonard Truck & Trailer Inc. is a nationally recognized leader in specialty trailer sales. Having experienced steady growth, it is now time to add additional sales management. This is a high volume, fast paced environment and only experienced individuals will be considered for this position. Salary, commission and bonus programs provide a significant earning potential for the right individual. Average work week is 40 hours.
The Sales Manager is completely responsible for and will be held accountable for the successful operations of their sales team. S/he will develop and implement plans to ensure the dealership of a reasonable profit and the principles a fair return on their investment. The Sales Manager will accomplish all objectives through planning, motivating, and coordinating the activities of sales sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Sell product
- Manage Sales Team of 10 to 12 sales personnel.
- Meet with every sales team member as early as possible each day to go over yesterday’s sales and today’s plan of action.
- Forecast monthly with each salesperson to establish objectives in terms of sales goals projected income as well as unit sales. Determine the closing percentages and time utilization to achieve this objective.
- Prospect management
- Train and monitor the utilization of CRM by sales team for optimum results.
- Lead utilization and follow up.
- Insure completion of paper work and reporting as necessary to measure individual sales as well as company
- 100% turn over of customer on the floor and on the phone. Assist in closing of sales for other sales personnel and F&I paper work
- Co-ordinate show displays and staffing.
- With assistance from senior management value and process trades.
- Determine service work to increase value of product to achieve maximum return on investment.
- Coordinate unit delivery with Service & Parts department to ensure on time, complete delivery to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Handle all sales personnel functions, to include: measuring and evaluating performance, recognizing accomplishments, and terminations.
- Communicate management’s policies and procedures to all sales employees and ensure that they are understood and followed.
- Conduct structured sales training weekly on Saturday Mornings.
- Provide enthusiastic leadership to shape employee’s attitudes and build morale.
- Establish harmony and teamwork among departments as well as remote stores.
- Provide input with marketing department on area specific advertising strategies and promotional opportunities in a cost efficient manner.
- Coordinate with product managers on product selection.
- Resolve any customer complaints that line management has not been able to resolve. In the event of an irresolvable situation work with senior management to resolve.
- Any and all other duties as the need arise.
